
Integrative Psychotherapy Training
Entry Requirements
Prospective students need to meet the following requirements:
- 240 hours training in a core model such as Transactional Analysis or
Gestalt Psychotherapy / or a Diploma in Counselling from a recognised
training institution
- have undertaken 80 hours of personal psychotherapy
- degree or equivalent - life experience can equal equivalent
Year
One:
Integrative Work and Dimensions of the Self
Contents:
Topics include understanding
the developing therapeutic relationship,
containment, eating disorders, impulsivity.
One year course of 10 two day highly participative modules.
Year
Two:
The Past in the Present: Aspects of the
Therapeutic Relationship
Contents:
Topics include developmental theory, emergence of the self, attachment
theory, separation and loss, adult development.
One year course of 10 two day highly participative modules.

Other Courses
Exam preparation
Preparing for Integrative oral exams. One day monthly group covering writing
the case study, tape selection, tape presentation and handling the exam
process. This group takes place on the second Wednesday of each month
All psychotherapy training modules take place on a more or less
monthly basis, starting in September, on a Thursday and a Friday from 10am
to 5pm.
